Wed Jul 15, 2009, 9:10 AM
I guess it's the art that's amazing more than the process itself...

you welcome, I like your pixel art. Cha I wish I was half as good as you cause Id really like to make some battle animation frames for an old Rmk2003.

I'm still exploring animation myself, I'm finding that there's a lot of neat stuff you can do by just cleverly shifting parts of your image around.

The one I consider my sensei has a nice tut on stealthly simple animation techniques here:

Pixel shifting and pallet based animations. It's gonna be a looooong time before I do an animation tut...

Ahh I rather like that, it gives me a better idea of what to do for standing frames yet make it look like a character is breathing or ready to strike.

Cha I havent the first clue what to do when it comes to animating pixels. As much as Ive ever done is making pixel characters for RPG Maker 2003. Which is basically the style stolen from Final Fantasy 1-6. Ive made sprite sheets for Yugi, Gaia online NPC's, Yu Yu Hakusho, even O.C.'s

Alas since my comp messed up and I had to re format I lost everything except for what I have on art sites.

re colored some Sonic sprites in chaos form and manipulated a Sonic DS sprite into a fan char of mine XD

Anywho above all I really love 2-D sprite work, especially in well made rpgs.

Ack im ranting errr ttyl.
